Pale Pinks

Good Morning

Today is my best friends birthday and I made this card for her over the weekend.  I really love the way that all the different pinks came together.

The majority of the flowers were white, I used my Copics to colour them end then I added the pearls or gems.

The filigree chipboard corner was covered with glitter and then I added some little gems, just to add to the bling.

I have already given the card to my friend and she just absolutely loves it.

From the end of this week, my blog will unfortunately have to take a bit of a backseat as the moving company will be at our house next week Tuesday to pick up the furniture for the big move to Cape Town.  I have made a few cards that I will share until I go down myself on the 24th.  After that I am not sure when I will be online as we will be staying with family and all our stuff is going into storage until we have find a suitable house to buy.  I have however put the essential paper crafting stuff in a huge bin and once I am set up I will hopefully be able to create some cards again.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I hope that you will have an awesome day.

Hugs,
Marika

Pink and Blue Tilda

Good Morning

I am so excited today, my dear hubby will be flying in from Cape Town for the weekend - he has been there since the beginning of the year, we will be joining him there at the end of March when we move down there permanently.  So the excitement level in our house this morning is very, very high.  The kids are so excited that their daddy is coming home, although they are disappointed that he will only be there for 2 sleeps before he has to go back.

But anyhow, enough of that.  I thought I better do a post today as I might not have time over the weekend.  So here she is, my little Pink and Blue Tilda.  The border is a Nellie Snellen die, it is the very first time that I did a complete border and I must say, it took me some time,  I had to figure out just how I was going to put it together.  But I absolutely love the end result.  It ended up a bit to big to actually give me space to do anything more on the card.

My Tilda is coloured with copics once again and I just had to try the blackish hair again.

The flower brads on the side goes so well with my paper.

I would like to thank all of the ladies who visits my blog and leaves me the lovely comments.  I love to get feedback.  Please enjoy your weekend and "see" you all next week.

Hugs,
Marika

PINK TILDA ICE/BALLET PRINCESS

Good Morning to all my Crafting Friends

Here in the usually sunny South Africa, more precisely Pretoria, we are experiencing a few days of over cast weather and after the very hot days that we had, it is so nice to have the cooler weather.  I must admit, I love Spring and Summer, but I love weather like this even more.  It is ideal crafting weather, not to hot and not to cold and should there be rain falling down, that is even better.

Now for my card.  I will enter this card into the Magnolia-licious Challange.  This is the first time that I have coloured the image and then cut it out with a Spellbinder die with a piece of the image that is "hanging out".  I was a bit unsure of how to do this, but I am very happy with the result.

The scalloped "silver" circle is made from a piece of "material" like paper that is used in the Air Conditioning industry.  This is something that I received from a gent that is working with me and he knows that I love things like that - he knew that somewhere, sometime I will have use of it.  I just loved the way it worked out.

My Card with  Pink Tilda ice / ballet princess.  I have not coloured her in pink (as her name suggests), but I love the red and blue colour combination.

This is a close up of Tilda.

The dragon fly is a peel-off, I coulered it with a red marker, then I used Blue and Red gems on the body and little pearls on the wings.

I hope that you will all have a wonderful day and many, many inspiring ideas.  I must apologize for the shadows in my photos, they do not look as good as usual, but I forgot to take the photos at home and I really wanted to post this post this morning and here at work the lighting is not so very good.

Hugs,
Marika
