Good Morning
I would like to apologise for not posting anything earlier. My cards have been finished since Sunday afternoon, but I just did not seem to have enough time. But here it is.
I wanted to participate in the new Magnolia-licious Challenge, but only after I put my card together did I realise that I was thinking "summer" instead of "spring". So after all of that I will not be able to take part in the Magnolia-Licious Challenge, but still it was fun making the card. The Summer sentiment stamp was a gift from a very good blogger friend, Thank You. I used my copics to colour in my Tilda as usual and then I found this handmade paper that fitted perfectly.
A close-up of the stamp.
A close-up of Tilda.
Then I added some plain paper flowers as that is so fitting for "summer time".
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Here in South Africa we are in the middle of Summer and believe me when I say that I am enjoying it very much. I do not really like the winter that much as our winters are not very cold, so we tend to dress very hot in the mornings and then during the day when the temperature warms, we feel as if we need to remove some clothes. So I will be enjoying the rest of the Summer for as long as I can.
Have an awesome day.
Hugs,
Marika

Mauve Elf Tilda
Good Morning
I started out this card with the idea of entering it into the Simply Magnolia challenge, but the theme is "RED and /or PINK with WHITE". After colouring the wings and dress it looked to be more mauve than pink. So this card turned out to be just for the fun of it. I had this beautiful paper with butterflies on it and the background colour went so well with the mauve colour of the image. Because the paper is so beautiful I did not add to many embellishments.
Except for the image, the only embellishments that I added was these butterflies. They are actually white, but when I tried to colour them with my Copics they turned out to be absolutely stunning. The smaller butterfly is covered with Glossy Accent. The other butterfly is raised with some foam strips, just to give it a bit of dept. I just had to add some gems for a little sparkle.
I used Elf Tilda. Once again I used my circle die to make it look like she is sitting on the edge.
Here you can see the beautiful background paper, I just could not cover it with any other papers or embellishments.
Even though I started out with the idea of using pinks and whites for this card, I really like the way it turned out.
I am almost on my way home from my half day job (just a bit more to go) and then I will take another stab at trying to make a card for the Simply Magnolia Challenge.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marika
